The Drink – Gin Fizz
A classic refreshing Drink and don’t worry if your not keen on gin, you can swop this up for any spirit you want. But my recommendation is not to do vodka.
35ml Colombo Gin
20ml Lime Juice
15ml Simple Syrup
Really easy to make and serve it over a glass of ice. Add the Gin, lime, and Simple to a shaker. Add ice and shake it hard (best done in the nude). Strain this into your glass over the ice. Then top up with some soda water.
There are a few options you could add:
Gold: Add an egg yolk when shaking (this is a 1930s touch and not for everyone)
Silver: Add the egg white when shaking (this makes the drink smooth and textured, you don’t taste the egg)
Diamond: Instead of topping with soda, swop it out for Prosecco
Making simple syrup:
500g Granulated sugar
250g Boiling water
Stir until clear
